In order to better understand the concept and consequences of light pollution, it is first necessary to know what quality lighting is.

In this project, the concept and practice of quality lighting is explored through problem-based learning in an experimental and manipulative way through practical activities and evaluations.

The six activities developed in this educational kit use quality lighting as a means of solving real cases of how light pollution affects wildlife, the night sky, eyes, energy consumption, security and light intrusion in buildings. The impact of the kit is amplified, with contributions to professional development through the use of a video tutorial created by NOAO, along with the realization of question and answer sessions through Google+ Hangouts for the instructors of the program.
